Side Covers

SAFETY FIRST: Protective gloves and eyewear are recommended at this point.

Removal

Remove the seats. See the Seat topic for more information.

Remove the side fairings. See the Farings topic for more information.

Loosen the side cover mounting bolts (two per side) with a 4 mm Allen. Remove the bolts and the washers.

Loosen the rear side cover screw (one per side) with a #2 Phillips screwdriver. Remove the screw and the collar.

Remove the side cover.

Installation

Install the side covers so that the mounting bolt holes line up. Insert the two mounting bolts for each cover and tighten them securely with a 4 mm Allen.

Install the rear side cover screws. Tighten the screws securely with a #2 Phillips screw driver.

Install the side fairings. See the Farings topic for more information.
